  1. Great tips for creating a nice writing portfolio. I have mine divided into different sections: alternative health, home and garden, etc. I’m going to work on polishing it up in 2009, though. :-)

Hope the year is going great for you so far, Sharon!

  2. As well as scribbles on blogs I’m starting to use http://www.scribd.com to post some writing and was surprised that my first piece was actually read. This post reminds me I better add more to it.Thanks! :-)

  3. Essays

I am actually doing my portfolio when I have read your post. Ever since I started writing, I keep on saving my work. I am usually writing essays and I have both the soft and hard copies of my work just in case my laptop will crash (hopefully not!!!). I guess, this is very important – to have backup copies as many as possible, just to be sure.

  4. @ Michele: I need to polish mine too. The year is going well, and I could do with freshening up those categories

@Dave: Glad you’re having success with Scribd

@Essays: yes, it’s essential to keep backups of your work
