My editor&#039;s eyes grinded to a halt at the third sentence on the second point. &quot;If you miss the deadline, you probably work.&quot; work = won&#039;t? Tiny niggle and I don&#039;t know if you have an edit option on gardenandhearth.com.

Other than that you show some excellent points. Sometimes these sorts of questions are covered in a publications writer&#039;s guidelines but it is still important to confirm exactly what the editor is expecting from you before proceeding.
