I've been a freelancer since 1994 and would not have it any other way. I suppose that upteen years in the military made me independent and left a love of travel and adventure. I've never felt that my freelancing could make me dependent on a location. Now, in the age of instant communication, I feel it even less. The only sad note is for my wife who is a slave to a major corporation. The up side is that we only have four more years until she retires. I like the location independent mindset.
