  1. Nice list Sharon. The only thing I’d add is to market your services consistently to keep the business flowing in. #’s 9 & 10 are CRUCIAL. Thanks so much for sharing your tips.

  2. Hi Sharon,

I like this list a lot. The info is solid and I like that you get right to the point without a lot of other hoo-haa.

Best of luck with the Problogger project. Looking forward to more!

  3. Hi Sharon

Thanks for the fantastic tips. It’s great advice for someone that’s starting out like me. Even though I have been writing for about fifteen years but afraid to show anyone my writing, I only started trying to build a freelance writing career a year ago.

I stumbled on your website not that long ago and have found it filled with lots of useful advice.

    Thanks

  4. Yes, marketing is essential, Kimberly. I think a disciplined approach is one of the most important aspects, as it helps with achieving everything else.

  5. Short and sweet, George, short and sweet. I’m enjoying the challenge so far.

  6. Nice list to make a business out of a blog. In my case, I am new to all this blogging scene, searching, reading, learning. The only thing I want to do is write a blog and get read, I am sure that internet can help me get known, so my book may be published, and my story told. It seems that know it is about money, not dreams becoming true.

  7. Sharon, I’ve visited here before as Delicate Flower through my personal blog http://delicacies.wordpress.com.. and have been following you since last year’s 31Days…
I’m now ready to start freelance writing as a serious venture while I write my memoir. This post is just what I need today, this minute! Thank you, I’ve followed the links, joined the About Freelance Writing forum and tomorrow I will begin to assemble my writing resume on my new blog! Your work and others inspired me to set up a second, more professional blog.
    Thank you, thank you….
