Slightly more dramatic than my experience, Kate. I was sitting typing when the whole shelf slid out into my lap. It was more annoying than anything else. Luckily, it was in an alcove and the desk tipped sideways which meant the monitor fell against the wall and didn't go crashing to the floor.
