Inside Associated Content – AC Source Book Review
The AC Source Book, written by Sabah Karimi, makes the bold claim that it offers everything you need to know about making money online with Associated Content. I don’t write for AC myself, but I thought I’d take the book for a spin and see what I could learn. Sabah’s credentials for writing the book seem impressive. In her own words:
“I’ve been publishing articles with AC since April 2006, and have built up a library of over 2,300 articles (and counting) that have earned thousands of dollars.”
Sabah explains the pros and cons of writing for AC, gives some advice on the difference between writing for online and print publications, then gets right into how to navigate the site’s many options. The ‘what every writer needs to know about’ section is useful, and covers:
- Pageviews and Clout Index
- Submitting Your First Article
- Article Rights and Your Submission Options
- Getting Paid
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Keywords and Keyword Research
- Formatting Articles for AC
- Adding Pictures to Articles
This will help any writer get started not just with Associated Content, but with writing web content in general. There are then chapters choosing the best topics, tracking trends, taking assignments, idea generation, promotion, networking and more. There are screenshots to illustrate many of the main points, making it easier to get to grips with the information.
I imagine it would take a new writer quite a while to get to grips with all the options on Associated Content, so this 51 page book could provide a useful short cut. At $19 for the PDF download and $29 for the print version, it’s not too expensive either.
For me, the most useful information was in the sections that related to unique features of Associated Content, but I am sure that someone new to the game would also welcome the general advice on writing and research.

True, but you can still earn performance payments from page views, I’m told.
