Thanks so much. I’ve done a lot of writing over the years from my book that been read in 15 countries to articles for article directory sites to promote my businesses. But as much as I love to write, I’ve never really pursued freelance work. The thought of writing all those query letters and then waiting months to get a rejection doesn’t sound like much fun. I’d much rather promote online and get “discovered” that way.

Thanks for your blog and the helpful info you’re sharing. And since my book is about marketing for women business owners I absolutely second what you said about the importance of promoting ourselves.

Who knows, maybe I don’t really network myself as often or as well as I should. I guess with being under the weather with a cold every year or less, it is all I can do to stay afloat. but I do try though. Myspace, facebook, you know the usual.

Mostly online. maybe I should branch out as well as just network in person.

Other than related to my job, I have not written in years. I am wanting to return to my first love, writing. Thanks for the help. I have to learn how to set up a website and how to blog. Yes, I am probably older than many of you. My first dream was to write a book, not write on/for the internet. I must adapt to new ideas. Thanks for the help. Judy

I have actually set aside 15 minutes a day to work on promoting my writing. It doesn’t sound like much, but over the course of a week, I get a lot done.

Thanks so much for this post! We so often feel that time spent doing anything other than actually writing or researching our articles, blog posts, etc. is wasted time. It’s great to be reminded that time spent in promotion is time well spent.
