Freelance writing – how much to charge?

That’s the question I needed an answer to when I was submitting a bid for a project that would not accept an hourly rate. As usual, I turned to Google for an answer and found a few useful resources. An article by Neil Tortorella suggests a good way of working out what your overheads are so you can make sure you’re not the one absorbing the hidden costs of doing business. Even better, he’s created an Excel calculator which automates the process. More good advice from Neil is available on his site.
