Get Paid To Write has been in its new home for just over three months, so it seems a good time to consider some of the highlights.
July: Guest PostsÂ
In July I took a well earned break, but the blog kept going, thanks to the efforts of my guest posters. Popular posts included How To Pick A Publisher, Flattery or Thievery and The Many Uses For Your Squidoo Lens. July was also the month where I started my Get Paid to Blog series (now tidily organised thanks to a neat WordPress plugin).
August: Writing LifeÂ
In August, I thought about many aspects of the writing life. For example, I considered whether writers are lonely, and suggested a way to prioritise writing work. I thought about what it meant to be a value added writer, and suggested that writers give more thought to promotion, including using email.
September ReviewsÂ
In September, I kicked off a new series of writing blog reviews, and asked a lot of questions about fear, self sabotage, and setting goals. I also went back to the topic of promotion with a post on building buzz for your website or blog.
So that’s how the first three months have shaped up. In October, I have plans for some more reviews of writing blogs and the last couple of paid to blog reviews. Then I plan to start a new series – watch this space for details.
