This is a heads-up about a way of building traffic to your freelance writing blog. It’s called Blogrush and it’s very similar to the concept of TheGoodBlogs and Postreach. It works like this: you sign up, grab the code and put a widget on your blog. It will display post titles from the category you put your blog in. You get credits when your readers click on those titles and that affects the number of times your blog gets shown to others. You also get credits from the people you refer – not that I understand exactly how that works. I’m definitely more of a wordsmith than a number cruncher.
I’m testing it out for a while. You can see the widget in my sidebar. I think anything (well, almost anything) that gets a writer more promotional exposure is useful. The more people see what you can do, the more people are likely to hire you. Check Blogrush out – and if you like it, remember who referred you

Interesting – Keep us posted. I noticed something like that from Technorat…but it did me no good -
Let us know in a month how it works.

This is interesting. I’m not sure if I want to try it out or not, because it will encourage people to click off my page, and not through revenue earning means, but it’s a new idea. I could see how it could be cool to get traffic from those other blogs. Could be worth it. I have to think about it a bit more I think, but thanks for sharing.

Will do, gracepub. The jury’s still out for me, but there’s a trickle so far.
